My work imagines surreal and abstract landscapes, combining and distorting disparate elements of the natural world and celestial bodies. In exploring different perspectives of landscape, pulled out aerial views, and windows to multiple scenes, I question the relationship we have with our planet’s surface and life in the cosmos.

I incorporate found materials, like cardboard, single-use plastic, and gathered papers to emphasize waste and the impact we have upon these areas. By excavating the layers my paintings I explore our impact over time, pondering how nature absorbs the consequences of our increasingly industrial and consumerist society. The works examines how the landscapes alter due to causational factors such as climate change.Through found material, sanding down my surfaces and exposing multiple layers of paint and extruding textures, I imagine the summation and results of eras and decades of impact to the earth, and how nature and the universe morph around us.
